My little man turns 12......

Yesterday, Garet turned 12!!! He went to see Transformers.....
Got his first phone.....
(We put it under his pillow and started calling it to wake him up and sing HAPPY BIRTHDAY!)

and got his first kiss from someone besides his MAMA!!!!

(Dad asked the waitress to embarrass him and she went and planted a big, sloppy kiss on him! I about had a heart attack!)

Logan informed me that he would be moving out in 6 yrs.

Thanks Logan! That's not something you remind the mom!

Garet is growing up! God blessed me 12 yrs. ago and my life has never been the same! Garet is fun loving, smart, energetic, compassionate, talented, humorous, and witty!!! Garet has the biggest heart of anyone I know! I know that God has big plans for this boy.....I can hardly wait to see the man he is going to become! For now, I'll cherish every day I have with him and continue to do my part in molding and making him into one fine man!!!! I'm one blessed MAMA!!!

I just went through everything we have been collecting.....we are still in NEED of seasoning salt, Tabasco sauce, beef jerky, seeds, Visine or eye drops, OFF, sunscreen, batteries and fly strips!!!!

We have PLENTY hard candy, wipes, toothpaste, toothbrushes and deodorant!!!!

Let's remember these men and women as they sacrifice their lives for you and I every day!!!! If you have a soldier in mind, PLEASE bring their address!!!!!

This is a great opportunity to be the hands and feet of Jesus!

Baby, it's HOT outside!!!!

It's officially summer and it's HOT!!!!! It's really been HOT here in our part of Texas for weeks now and no rain!!!! No rain in sight!!!! We are suppose to reach 103 this week!!! I think I might melt! The boys talked me into snowcones this weekend! They didn't have to ask too much because I LOVE ME SOME SNOWCONES!!!!

Summer of SERVING....

Today we headed to the nursing home to pamper and paint nails!!!

I have to tell ya....the nursing home is NOT one of my favorite places to be....only b/c I'm a GERM FREAK!!! But, today I was blessed! (Don't worry...I bathed them in Germ~X first!)
This is one of my favorite little ladies at the nursing home. She loves gospel music! I asked her what her favorite song was and she said, "This little light of mine!" So, she sang to me!

This little lady played the piano in her younger days! Look at those pretty fingers...I would have loved to hear her play!

Pleasing God by serving others!

This is kinda funny....all of the girls were picking out really BRIGHT colors....you know....gold, RED, purple! I thought, "These are going to be some hip old ladies!"

They were all so appreciative and thanked us over and over!

I have never painted someones nails when they were asleep. I guess she will have a nice surprise when she wakes up!

I really enjoyed my time today! I loved hearing all of the stories about where these pretty hands had been and what they have done over the years!!!! This little ladies hands have baked quite a bit over the years, but they also taught her grandsons how to shoot their very first deers!

Whether we are serving others or they are serving us...it's all going to be loving and we are all going to benefit!

I took this cute pic of the boys last night in Mr. Bailey's garden and remembered that I had one from last year too!

I am so excited....I've been garden sitting for my neighbors and I got to keep what I picked this week! AND....Daniel's sweet Grandpa is sending me goodies out of his beautiful garden! I have tons of squash! Yum~O!!!

By the way, I picked two Siamese squash this week! HA! You should've seen them!

I blanched for the first time today and put squash in the freezer! I'm so proud of myself!!!
