Nap Time....

I just tucked Peyton in for a nap! We are trying to outgrow naps, but we have soccer practice this evening. That makes for a very long day! Without a nap he is unable to act like a human being in the evenings. So.....he is resting! I'm sure going to miss this little fart next year! My baby is going off to kindergarten! I just asked him, "Peyton, who is going to keep me company next year?" He replied, "Aunt Lisa." I said, "Aunt Lisa lives three hours away. That's not going to work." He said, " I'm sure Mrs. Nise (aka Denise) will take care of you." He doesn't care about me because he is off to big school and he talks about it EVERY day!

Hard work paid off in the end.....

Today was the FREEZER sale and it was FREEZIN!!!!! The weather cleared off, but it is COLD!
This is Garet auctioning off his rabbits!
I think we did pretty good for the first time rabbit caretakers!
Garet was supported by Clara and Peyton! The fern was too big for Peyton to hold by himself, so Clara helped out and Peyton just smiled real big for the crowd!

We are so excited to be apart of a community where men and women support the kids in a big way! We are so grateful! Our experience with the freezer sale wasn't so bad! We have learned a lot and hope for the premium sale next year!
Whew!!! We are tired! We don't want Spring Break to end!

Better Luck Next Time....

Garet before rabbit judging.
Doesn't he look handsome and so grown up?
Well, we did not have beginner's luck! This is our first animal project for the fair. We have been really clueless. We didn't know the first thing about rabbits, but it was a great project. We have learned so much today! We did not make it to the premium sale, but we are OK! The rabbits just needed more meat on them. We think we started giving them oats to soon. This has not been a bad experience for us at all! We will definitely give it another shot next year!
Garet learned a lot of responsibility. Getting up early to water, feed, keeping the rabbits warm, clean and away from harm! He had to deal with the death of a rabbit by himself. We are hoping for better luck next time! Congrats to all of our friends who did so well!
Garet was glad to see his Poppa this morning!

Rated PG 13!

It has been hard to determine the sex of our rabbits because we are clueless! Yes...that clueless! This morning Dad picked up at rabbit and HIS thingy popped out! Garet said, "Well, that one is a boy!" It was very funny! Our rabbits have been so good. They are abstaining! There were other rabbits today getting busy! Cages were shaking!
Moody judge doing her job!

Peyton and Zoey swingin from the rafters...literally!

This was the rabbit judge. She is from Moody, Tx.
Her personality matches her town!
She is one tough cookie!
Had to get a pic of her MOODY coat! HA!

Maybe next year!
I'm pooped! It's 7:30 and I'm going to bed!
Concession stand duty tomorrow! We will support all of our friends Fri. at the Premium Sale and we will be apart of the freezer sale on Sat.
Good Night!

The fair begins....

Would you like to go on a picnic?
Do you see the ants? They are weights for the picnic tablecloth! So cute!
Thanks Centex Supply aka Don and Pam!
I have such good employers (and FRIENDS!)!
Mimi is one of our best supporters!
Peyton's basket turned out so cute with his cute monkey and the mini bananas! Notice his new boots! He is so proud of them!

Peyton getting ready to go on stage!
Thanks Tracey Cook for your sweet support!
Funny story ~ Auctioneer says, "Peyton, how old are you?"
Peyton ~ "Five!"
Auctioneer ~ "I guess you have been cooking for 6 years, huh?"
Peyton ~ "Yes sir!"
Mom and Aunt Freida surprised us today! Thanks for making the trip girls! Love ya!

My friends have been so helpful and supportive through this process! This is my bow maker friend...Cherie!
Congratulations to our new fair queen...Sabrina!
We go to church with both Sabrina and Charli! They are precious girls! Love them both so much!

Gotta get to bed! Rabbit judging and show in the morning!

Can't wait to fill you in tomorrow!

A little prayer....

Today is a special day for a friend of mine!
Rikki will be having a sweet baby boy via c~section this afternoon.
Rikki has been in the hospital for a week because she developed a serious staff infection last week. The worst staff you can get....mersa.
The Dr. feel confident that the infection is under control....so, they are going on with the scheduled c~section.
Could you please send a little prayer up for her and her baby?
Praying all goes well!

Thanks for all of your ideas, trips to stores and bow making expertise! I love and appreciate you all so much! Hope our hard work pays off! cha~ching!

Garet has been busy working on his record book! We are so clueless! BUT, we are learning!

Worked in the yard all day Saturday....really enjoyed being outdoors!

The boys had fun playing in their first soccer games this weekend!

Watched Beverly Hills Chihuahua and Changeling! Good movies!

Had rootbear floats!

Worked afew hours this morning!

Doing lots of laundry!

Eating homemade sloppy joe's for dinner!

Drinking a big ole diet vanilla coke from Sonic! Yum!!!

Wishing we were at Disney World! Darn....maybe next year!

Rabbit Obituary

We are sad to say that Mr. or Miss Rabbit #4 passed away sometime during the night of March 18th, 2009. The owner found the victim dead on the morning of March 19 at 7:00 am. The victim was bloody. Cause of the death is still unknown. The 5 eyewitnesses will not speak up! The funeral home took care of the body and the actual funeral and burial will take place this afternoon after school.
Rabbit #4 is survived by MANY family members.
Farewell Rabbit #4. RIP

Kids can be so different......

We went shoe shopping yesterday. We have been shoving Peyton's feet into his old boots for way to long. We are getting ready for the fair and Pey wanted new boots. These caught his eye and I couldn't talk him into anything else. (I tried the cheaper ones....he would not have it!) Before I knew it, he had his new boots on and took his old boots to the counter. He told the lady she could sell them to someone else! Poor old John Deere boots! Need less to say.....he left wearing his NEW boots!
On the other hand, Garet wants these shoes! No boots for Garet! He wants nothing to do with boots! He thinks he is wearing these to the sell next Tues. night!
I love them BOTH, but how in the world can kids be so DIFFERENT????

"Mom, these bananas are BLACK?!?!"

PERFECT for yummy banana bread!
Peyton and I got up early this morning and made his Farm Chicks banana bread so that it would be warm for the judges!

Just a few weeks until FAIR time!

Oh....this is BIG news for Garet this week!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Drum roll PLEASE!!!!!
Garet made a 98 on his Math benchmark test!!!!!!!!!
A 98!!!!!
Hallelujah!
Thank you Jesus!!!!

Here is a sneak peak at my soon to be Kindergartner. Peyton had school pics today in his cap and gown. Isn't he handsome?

It's raining and it's wonderful! I've seriously been singing Eddie Rabbit all day (rabbit, hehe)....I love a rainy night. I love a rainy night. I love to hear the thunder....watch the lightning when it lights up the sky....oooooo....oooooo!
OK....Just weighed in AND I gained a flippin grape .8!
I'm depressed. I guess eating at Grotto's Friday night didn't help! Back to pumpkin muffins and grilled cheese sandwiches. Woo~Hoo! I have a BAD attitude about WW today!
I just want to be skinny and not have to work at it!
Not much going on in our little part of the world.
What's going on in your part of the world this week?
The weekend is almost here! Have a good one! Hugs!

Weight Watcher Baked Beef Ziti

main meals
POINTS® Value: 5Servings: 8Preparation Time: 20 minCooking Time: 50 minLevel of Difficulty: Moderate

If you thought you couldn't indulge in your fattening favorites and still lose weight, you'll be thrilled to know that baked ziti is not a thing of the past. Our version gets rave reviews on our community boards.
Ingredients
12 oz uncooked ziti
2 tsp olive oil
2 medium garlic clove(s), minced
1/3 pound(s) raw lean ground beef
1 tsp dried oregano
1 tsp dried thyme
1 tsp dried rosemary
1/2 tsp table salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
28 oz canned crushed tomatoes
1 cup(s) part-skim mozzarella cheese, shredded
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F.
Cook pasta according to package directions; drain and set aside.
Meanwhile, heat oil in a medium saucepan over medium heat; add garlic and sauté 2 minutes. Add beef and cook until browned, breaking up meat with a spoon as it cooks, about 3 to 5 minutes; drain off any fat and set pan back over medium heat.
Add oregano, thyme, rosemary, salt and pepper; stir to coat beef. Cook until herbs become fragrant, about 2 minutes. Add tomatoes and bring mixture to a boil; reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes.
Spoon a small amount of beef-tomato mixture into bottom of a 4-quart casserole dish (just enough to cover surface); top with half of cooked ziti. Next, layer with half of remaining beef-tomato sauce and half of mozzarella cheese. Layer with remaining ziti and then top with remaining beef-tomato sauce; sprinkle with remaining mozzarella cheese. Bake until cheese is golden and bubbly, about 30 minutes. Slice into 8 pieces and serve. Yields 1 piece per serving.

This is one of my family's FAVORITE meals! It's so easy, so good and it helps because it's WEIGHT WATCHERS!!!
Enjoy!

Neti Pot ~ Sinus Relief Kits????

Without giving you too much personal info.....I live in an area that is on HIGH ALERT for pollen this week. What's the big deal you might ask???? Well, we are sneezing and snotting all over the place! Seriously! My black car looks like it got a green paint job. I'm looking out the window and it's raining green. It's lovely! It matches our green snot! St. Patrick's day is coming up, right?
The last time we got this crud...I was desperate. Tired of taking medicine that didn't work. I would take 2 wks. of antibiotics with NO relief. It was way frustrating! So, I've heard about the Neti Pot and all of the natural systems out there. I decided to go NATURAL!!! I've heard they are GREAT! WONDERFUL! They will fix all of your sinus and allergy problems! HA!

Have you heard of a Neti Pot? If so, have you had any success?
Because.....I HATE this thing!!!! It didn't work! The whole process is gross, disgusting, horrible, despicable.....plain miserable!!!!!
She makes this process seem sooooo elegant! So ladylike!!!!!
Don't let her fool you!
It wasn't this easy!
What about this lovely lady???
Attractive, huh????
She even has a sexy look going on!
Either my sinuses where so backed up or I'm an idiot! I didn't have a nice, straight stream flowing like that!

I was spitting and sputtering all over the place! I know that I do not look sexy like the nice model above! I felt like I was drowning in my own snot or I had jumped off the diving board without my nose plugged! Drowning is not how I want to die...maybe I should get another sinus relief system! My husband thought this was very comical and started taking pics!

Some of my crazy friends have compared this to something else. This is a G rated blog...I'll spare you the details!
So, how do you find relief from your allergies and sinuses???
If you have tried this.....please let me know how it worked!!!!!
