I've been trying to change my background ALL DAY!!!!
ALL DAY and it won't let me!!!!!
Would someone like to tell me what I'm doing WRONG????
Why is it only changing half of my page!!!

I'm turning this thing off before I loose my religion!

I think you need to take the old background off (choose one of the templates with a white middle) and then paste in the code for the new background. See if that works. I think it is because of the way that you paste the code in a different place for these.
