These beautiful Fall days always get me in the mood for baking! So, today I decided to bake for the teachers in our lives! Just a little token of our appreciation! Oh...I wish you could smell my house!
I've used this recipe for years! Enjoy!
Go on... share the love!
Thank the teachers in your children's lives!
A little bribing never hurts!
I may have 12 more years of bribing to do!

this looks so good! i think i will try it, but 1 question... it says to beat eggs and cream w/ sugar... but in the ingredients, there is no cream, am i not understanding?? you know how i am when it comes to baking???
Hey Spank! You are right! There is no cream in this recipe. Cream in this recipe is a verb. It is a fancy word for mix! So...mix your eggs, sugar and oil until it's creamy! I added a little pinch of nutmeg too!
thanks! i told you of my limited amount of baking experience!
That looks yummy! I think you should save some for this teacher! :)
looks Yummmmy, hummm I wonder if I may be one of those teachers ??????? Joking-- but you know I love your baking. Next time your baking invite me over.
Okay--I am going back to work as a teacher next year. Does that count?? Just kidding! You are sweet to show appreciation to the teachers!! :0)
what is tee-hee is that a beverage to be served with the bread??
Hey Carrie,
I don't know if you remember me or not. We met at 220 this summer. I saw on your friend Kyley's blog that Auburn was working ridiculous hours and she asked us to pray. I did and wanted to pass along how grateful those of us who now have power are to him for his tireless work.
Thanks,
Carol Jones
My mom used to make Brownies for the same bribing purpose! Baked goods go a long way for us teachers. Same goes for the Kindergarten teacher as the Senior English teacher! Keep it up! :)S
let's take up a collection to send spanki to home ec class. as my west virginian home ec teacher used to say 'po sang' (poor thing) never got no cookin' class ... way to go on the bribery thing carrie
p.s. Denise: TeeHee is a French aperitif to be consumed while baking. Source: Julia Child
Well....if I liked to bake I would show appreciation to our awesome teachers because they are the BEST! I am with Spanki on the baking thing...I would rather scrap book! ha ha! I don't know anything about baking and never like Home ec class. ha ha! I say we all go to Carries and watch her bake for us! While we eat of course!? Why do they have to use fancy words...it is to confuse for sure...why not say mix until creamy! ha ha!
That looks delicious. Thanks!!!
