My Hippies.....

My hippy boys!!!
Peace out to drugs!!!
(I thought that hippies were the ones that did drugs!!!)
I don't know if you ever look at Pray For Our Children blog, but they have some amazing prayers for our children!
Lord, I pray that you would thwart any plan Satan has to destroy my boys lives through alcohol and drugs and take away anything in their personality that would be drawn to those substances!

Peace out!
My boys love to give me a hard time! They actually told me that I didn't need a fro b/c I already have one!
I don't know why they think that!
HA!
I feel the love!!!

My Gardener....

My husband has a new hobby.
A hobby that will benefit our family!
I'm so excited!
It has rained ever since our garden went in and it's looking GREAT!!!
I know that some of you are pro gardeners, but this is new to us!
We live in a small town and many of you have HUGE, beautiful gardens!!!!
Don't make fun of us! We are beginners!
We have to start somewhere....right?!!!!
My boys are going to be sooooo EXCITED!!!!!
Onions, red onions, cabbage, red cabbage, brussel sprouts and collard greens !!!
I get soooo EXCITED just thinking about it!!!!!
We will add afew more rows when planting time comes around again!!!!

Look at our cute onions popping up!

I asked if I could take a picture of my garden boy and his garden. He said, "Absolutely not! I'm not going to look like a re~re with my little bitty garden!
Shhhh! Don't tell him!

It has NOT been a good day!
Don't you just love car trouble???
Especially on a car that you are getting ready to pay off that just has 55,000 miles on it???
I'm soooo discouraged!
T~Daddy and hubby pulled it to the mechanics!
Can't wait to see what the diagnosis is!
Thanks T~Daddy for having a servants heart! Thanks for being our adopted Dad.... or Big Brother! Thanks for always dropping everything and coming so willingly!
We appreciate you so much!
Hoping for a better day tomorrow!
I'm tired of this rollercoaster ride and ready for a walk in the park!!!!
HA!

Thumbs up dinner.....

I was going to participate in Tasty Tuesdays over at Balancing Beauty and Bedlam today, but she is down for maintenance! Bummer!
BUT, I have a very easy and wonderful kid friendly recipe for you!
I found it over at Pillsbury! They have a free newsletter you can sign up for!
They have great ideas and recipes!

Pillsbury Taco Melts ~ Yummo!!!
INGREDIENTS

1 package (1 oz) Old El Paso® taco seasoning mix

2/3cup water

1 1/2 cups Old El Paso® Thick 'n Chunky salsa

1 lb lean (at least 80%) ground beef, cooked, drained

1 can (16.3 oz) Pillsbury® Grands!® refrigerated biscuits (any variety)

1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese or Mexican cheese blend (4 oz)

1 cup sour cream, if desired
DIRECTIONS

1. Heat oven to 375°F.

2. In medium saucepan, cook taco seasoning mix, water, 1/2 cup of the salsa and cooked ground beef until thickened.

3. Press each biscuit into 6-inch round. Fill each with taco mixture and 1 tablespoon cheese. Fold dough over filling and press to seal. Place on greased cookie sheet.

4. Bake 9 to 14 minutes or until golden brown. Serve with remaining salsa, cheese and sour cream.

I'm NOT a food photographer, so....don't judge me!
These were the cutest things!
My boys LOVED this new twist to tacos!
One of my sons eats everything in the house and the other one is picky!
The picky son said it was wonderful!
I've been searching for new recipe ideas on various blogs and have found a few blogs that I love!
You need to visit $5 Dinner blog and Finding Joy In My Kitchen!!! These ladies have some fabulous recipes!
I LOVE new recipes! Especially this time of the year!
Let me know what you find!

Treasure Boxes and Cockroaches???

Here in the deep South, we really have these creators called cockroaches!
They are HUGE!!!
They are NASTY!!!
I absolutely HATE them!!!!
So, I have to ask.....Why do little boys LOVE them???
I just don't get it!
(I'm so glad I took a picture of this because we have a roach story to tell! haha)
Last week my little guy comes home from school all excited!
"Mom, I got to go to the treasure box today!"
We did the happy dance!
I asked, " What did you pick out of the treasure box?"
My little guy replies, "A roach, but not just any roach Mom! A Cockroach!!!"
My happy dance was replaced with the hibbie jibbies!
This cockroach looked so real!
He kept laying it around and it freaked me out every time and I knew it wasn't real!
I'm such a girl!
We had the best idea that night before we went to bed! Dad wasn't home and hadn't met Mr. Cockroach yet! So, we put him in the sheets on Dad's side of the bed! haha!!! Dad came home late and we were all asleep! Dad slept with the roach and didn't find him until the next morning and boy was it funny! The following morning, Dad jumps out of bed throwing Mr. Roach across the room! I've never seen him move that fast! He runs to the bathroom, grabs a Kleenex and flushes Mr. Roach! I knew that he had found him, but I didn't know he was going to go to the extreme of flushing him!!!!
The first thing my little guy asked when he got up was, "Hey Dad...How did you like my cockroach?"
Need less to stay, Daddy got to go to the treasure box and Peyton never knew!

A quote for your day.....

A woman is like a tea bag, you can't tell how strong she is until you put her in hot water!
~Nancy Reagan~
I love this!
Happy Friday!
Hope you have a good one!
I've already dropped my last egg on the kitchen floor....the one I was going to eat and I've burnt my toast! Yikes! I hope this day gets better for me!
