Crockpot Lemonade Chicken!

(Don't click inside b/c I don't know how to do that! ha!)
Last night I hosted BUNCO!!!! One of the prizes was this cute, little cookbook!!! I HEART cookbooks!!!!
I bought it in Fredricksburg, but you can buy it anywhere!!!
Before I gave it away to it's new lucky owner....I stole a recipe!!!!
Crockpot Lemonade Chicken.....it just sounds like summertime, huh????
Crockpot Lemonade Chicken is a fun and easy recipe! By using Lemonade, it gives a fun twist on the classic Lemon Chicken. Serve over hot rice.
Ingredients :
6 pieces of chicken (breasts and legs)

1 (6 oz.) can frozen lemonade ~ thawed

2 tbsp. brown sugar (I used more!)

3 tbsp. ketchup

1 tbsp. vinegar

2 tbsp. cornstarch

2 tbsp. cold water

Preparation : Step 1- Arrange chicken pieces in crock pot. Combine lemonade, brown sugar and ketchup and mix well. Pour over chicken. Cover. Cook on high 3-4 hours or low 6-8 hours.

Step 2- Remove chicken from pot, cover to keep hot. Transfer liquid to saucepan. Skim fat; combine cornstarch and cold water and add slowly to liquid, while stirring over low heat. When thickened, serve with chicken. Yield: 4-6 servings

My boys loved this recipe!!!

It's a keeper!!!!

Past Night and the American Cancer Society!!!

My team has been hard at work raising money for Relay For Life!!!
My heart just smiled as families drove through last night to give their donation and pick up a meal for their family!!! We even had meals donated to needy and hurting families! Meals were bought and taken to familes that are currently being affected by cancer!!!
(Team memebers that helped w/ this project but not pictured are Deborah and Whitney Robinson and Deanna Mills.)
I love my community!!! I love that they are giving back!!! Thank you!!!
Look at these beautiful roses that showed up on my doorstep this morning!!!
I love sweet thoughtful friends!!!
What a nice way to start my day!!!!
I think we all need to spread a little kindness today! Go do something sweet for someone else!

She is the reason that I'm working so hard on Relay For Life this year! I see how she has suffered for 12 yrs. now. Though we do not know what to expect from day to day with her battle....there is one thing I know for sure! The good Lord has the perfect homecoming planned for her someday and until then.....we will enjoy the time that we have left!
Only God knows when that time will be! He must not be through with her yet!
Hope you and your family had a very HAPPY EASTER!!!
He is RISEN!!!
